As part of its international program, the Liceu Conservatory Foundation has started an institutional collaboration with the Vladimir Spivakov Foundation of Russia. Thanks to this endeavor, Mar López, a violin student of Professor Heriberto Fonseca, Head of the Strings Department at the Professional Center, and Alexis Pérez, a student of Professor Tensy Krismant, Head of the Piano Department at the Higher Center, participated in two of the sessions of this important Festival, that was held online this year due to the pandemic.
The Festival has been held every year since 2004 and has participants from different regions of Russia, the Baltic countries and from all over the world, with concerts in the best venues in Moscow, and many other Russian cities. This year the Festival received a record number of applications, more than 1,200, among which those of more than 1,000 children from 55 regions of Russia. Young musicians from more than 40 countries were selected to participate: instrumentalists, singers, dance and choral groups, circus studios, artists, orchestras and conductors.
The Vladimir Spivakov Foundation was created on May 30th, 1994. It is a non-profit Foundation that aims to support young talents of music and the arts in Russia and around the world. This collaboration is part of the international program of the Liceu Conservatory.
