Open Doors

Come to the Conservatori Liceu to live music the way you dream it!

21 February 2026, 4:00 p.m.

As every year, the Open Day of the Conservatori Superior de Música Liceu offers prospective students the opportunity to get to know the Centre and its pedagogical and artistic project, and to receive information about admission to our programmes, as well as to meet the teaching staff. Information is also provided about the Ferrer-Salat Scholarships, which are exclusive to the Centre.

The aim is for the activities of this Day to help music students orient themselves when deciding on the next step in their musical and personal education.

The Open Day will feature an initial Information Session on the structure of the Bachelor’s Degree in Music, the Centre’s educational and artistic philosophy and approach, the Scholarship Programmes and the characteristics of the Entrance Exams. There will also be an opportunity to enjoy performances by current students of the Centre and to take part in classes and other activities led by teachers from the different Departments.

SCHEDULE:

3:30 p.m. – Doors open and live music in the Live Room

4:00 p.m. – Welcome event in the Auditorium

5:00 p.m. – After the welcome event, each department and specialisation will have a space in the Centre to answer questions together with the Head of Department and teachers from different specialisations.

Throughout the afternoon there will be an information point about the Ferrer-Salat Scholarships.

7:00 p.m. – End of the day

*Finishing times may vary depending on the number of attendees in each department.

When is the Open Day this year?

The next Open Day of the Conservatori Superior de Música Liceu will be on 21 February and will start at 4:00 p.m.

Who is the Open Day aimed at?

At music students who wish to begin, next academic year or in the near future, Bachelor’s Degree studies in Music (Performance, Composition or Pedagogy), and who would like to get to know a Centre that is ideal for obtaining a high-quality, professional training under the expert guidance of great musicians.

What happens during the Open Day at the Conservatori Liceu?

The Open Day of the Conservatori Superior de Música Liceu offers prospective students the opportunity to get to know the Centre and its pedagogical and artistic project, and to receive information about admission to our programmes, as well as to meet the teaching staff. Information is also provided about the Ferrer-Salat Scholarships, which are exclusive to the Centre.

What do I need to do to attend?

You will find information on the Conservatory’s website, and you must register via this link.

Can I come with companions?

You may bring up to two companions per attendee, but if there are a few more, this will not be a problem.

What time should I arrive at the Conservatory?

The welcome event begins at 4:00 p.m., but we ask you to arrive a little earlier for better organisation. From 3:00 p.m. the Centre’s doors will be open and attendees will be able to enjoy the wait with great musical performances by Conservatory students in the Live Room, an ideal place to experience Music intensely.

If I am a Performance student, do I have to bring my instrument?

Several specialisations in the field of classical and contemporary music include activities during the Open Day in which attendees play. It may be a good idea to bring your own instrument, but it cannot be guaranteed that in all cases there will be an opportunity to play.

Will I be able to meet the teachers I am interested in?

On the registration form you can indicate which specific teachers you would like to meet. The Departments will do everything possible to ensure that attendees can meet the teachers they have requested, but it may happen that the schedule and concert activity of some teachers does not allow them to be at the Conservatory on the day of the Open Day. In that case, attendees will still be able to meet the Head of Department of their specialisation and other teachers.

What happens during the initial welcome event?

The initial welcome event, which will begin at 4:00 p.m. in the Conservatory Auditorium, will include presentations by the General Director, the Academic Director and the Heads of Department. They will all provide information about the Conservatory, its study programmes, the Entrance Exams and other relevant aspects. Informative videos will be shown and there will be musical performances by Conservatory students.

When will I be able to meet my future teachers?

When the initial welcome event ends, at around 5:00 p.m., attendees will be able to go to the classrooms and spaces assigned to each Department and specialisation, where they will be able to meet the different teachers and academic coordinators.

Will I be able to receive information about practical aspects, in addition to musical and academic ones?

During the Open Day, on the first floor of the Conservatory there will be information points about academic and administrative matters, as well as about the Ferrer-Salat Scholarship programme.

What time does the Open Day finish?

Some Departments may extend their activities longer than others, but in general they will finish around 7:00 p.m.

Can contact with the desired teacher or teachers go beyond the Open Day?

Attendees at the Open Day can register for a package of up to three hours of individual lessons with the teacher or teachers of their choice, at a special trial price. There will also be a series of subsequent Conservatory activities in which future candidates for the Entrance Exams can take part.

When will the Entrance Exams take place and from when is it possible to register?

Part A of the Entrance Exams for the Bachelor’s Degree in Music at the Conservatori Liceu usually takes place at the end of May, and Part B during the first week of June. During the Open Day, the exact dates will be announced, as they depend on the publication of the Resolution of the Department of Education of the Generalitat announcing the Exams. Registration normally begins in April. Attendees at the Open Day will receive an email notification when the registration process opens.
