The studies leading to Bachelor of Music, Pedagogy Major, provide the students with training in an instrumental or vocal specialization of a similar level to the Performance students. To get solid professionalism in the music practice, the Curriculum in Pedagogy includes an in-depth acquisition of theoretical and practical knowledge about teaching in its methodological, psychological and artistic aspects. To reach these goals, the Center counts on the possibility of organizing teaching practices at the Music Schools Network linked to the Liceu Conservatory –which includes music schools and general system schools linked to our educational project– as well as practices at the Professional Center of the Liceu Conservatory.
Likewise, students have at their disposal Pedagogy Forums organized by the Department –and several activities focused on this specialization– which allow them to complement their training and gain experience.
The Graduates in Pedagogy will be able to develop a rich and efficient musical and pedagogical activity that encompasses the experience of the traditional teaching and the 20th-century active pedagogies. They also will be in touch with new educational formulas that encourage a global, creative and collaborative learning.
