The Liceu Conservatory has a team of very prestigious guitar teachers linked to the most important performing schools –historical and modern ones– that maintain alive the great tradition of the Center with this instrument. The Curriculum of the Bachelor of Music in Classical and Contemporary Music Performance, Major in Guitar, allows working with very varied repertoires and gives great importance to the ensemble music. The guitar students, according to their itinerary, get lessons not only in chamber music and guitars’ orchestra but also in the art of the accompaniment and improvisation.
The guitar students get a program of visiting teachers and Masterclasses of the Liceu Cambra concert cycle, where international guitarists always have a prominent role. They also have the opportunity to perform auditions and internal and external concerts, as soloists or in various ensembles.

In the Performance specializations, it is expected that people aspiring to study the Bachelor in Higher Artistic Education in Music can interpret the repertoire indicated for the Entrance Tests with a technical level and a clear awareness of the stylistic features of the works presented.
The entry profile for the Performance specialties is that of a person with a significant mastery of their instrumental or vocal specialty, which allows them to face the Bachelor in Higher Artistic Education in Music with advantage.
The person aspiring to this modality has rigorous prior training, which allows him to demonstrate his mastery of the instrument through the interpretation of complex works.
Training Profile
The graduate in Performance is a person who knows in depth the repertoire of their instrumental or vocal excellence and the diversity of expressions it allows, its history, its acoustic characteristics and has developed a personality throughout their studies and a language of their own. He is able to interpret pieces of great technical complexity and expressive demands and shows a wide creative capacity, as well as a deep knowledge of the characteristics of his instrument or voice.
