Marc Renau (cello) and Marta Augé (piano), former students of the Conservatori Liceu, take part in the new television program El violoncel desconegut, from Red TV, a series to recover the Catalan musical heritage and rediscover the work of great local composers silenced and invisibilised by Franco’s regime, among them Albert Galimany i Pujol, Joan Baptista Lamber, Joan Pujol i Mateu, and Francesc Pujol i Pons. The main aim of this series is to recover unique pieces by these great composers so that they do not fall into oblivion.
El violoncel desconegut was premiered last September on La Red TV’s Local Televisions, also in podcast format, and takes a musical journey through the composers of the 20th century, analysing their artistic trajectory, details of the works, as well as the analysis of the piece.
The programme was filmed in the Orchestra Hall of the Liceu Conservatory last summer.
We congratulate our former students Marc Renau and Marta Augé for taking part in this iniciative.
