Victoria Canal, a former student from the Centre Professional at the Liceu Conservatory Foundation, has managed to captivate the Coldplay singer, as TV3 reported a few days ago. The 24-year-old former student was born in Germany without a right hand due to amniotic band syndrome. This physical impairment has not prevented her from playing the piano since she was very young. She currently sings, composes, plays the piano and the guitar and dedicates herself professionally to music.
A few days ago she was on the news on TV3 given that the singer of the Coldplay group, Chris Martin, asked her to hear her play in a recording studio near Barcelona. Despite the pianist’s nerves, Martin assured that it was one of the best songs he had ever heard and has ended up signing her in the british band’s discography.
By now, Victoria lives in London and has presented her album in cities such as Amsterdam, Dublin, Paris, London and Los Angeles. She does not rule out playing in Barcelona next year, the city where her grandparents reside.
From the Liceu Conservatory Foundation, we congratulate Victoria Canal for her willingness to fight and dedication and we wish her good luck and every success so she can continue expanding her professional musical career.
