As part of the collaboration agreement between the Liceu Conservatory Foundation and the University Institución Universitaria Bellas Artes y Ciencias de Bolívar (UNIBAC), the Conservatory violin teachers Corrado Bolsi and Gisella Curtolo participated for the second year in the VI edition of the Instrumental Clinics, that were held virtually from October 5 to 8, 2020.
The Instrumental Clinics are organized by the UNIBAC, a public institution of higher education based in Cartagena de Indias, Colombia. In its sixth version, the activity brought together more than 50 specialists from 17 countries, who shared about 65 academic activities throughout the week. In this second year of participation, Professor Corrado Bolsi, Head of the Strings Department highlighted the interest and broad participation in the classes that gathered not only many young musicians, but also professors from different academic institutions.
The activity closure consisted in a concert broadcasted from 4 countries: Argentina, Peru, Guatemala and Colombia, closed with the presentation of the Gaiteros de San Jacinto, a group of traditional Colombian music that has been nominated for the Latin Grammy 2020.
This activity is part of the international program of the Liceu Conservatory Foundation and of its Collaboration Program with Ibero-America that began in 2001 and in which academic and artistic activities are developed in 8 countries.
