Last Tuesday, September 27, the Auditori Conservatori Liceu hosted the inauguration of the new academic year 2022-2023 for the students of the different Master’s programs offered by the Centro Superior de la Fundación Conservatori Liceu.
The students attended a welcoming ceremony where they could hear the words of the Academic Director, Víctor Estapé, and the Head of the Chamber Music Department, Albert Julià, who explained the objectives and characteristics of these studies aimed at the improvement of professional musicians in an environment of high academic excellence. They also enjoyed the participation of Hugo Immk, an expert in personal branding, who gave a talk aimed at encouraging motivation for the future professionalization of new students. Afterwards, the students participated in different meetings with the different Department Heads and professors.
This event marks the beginning of a new course with students from all over the world, who will have access to the highest level of training within the programs currently developed by the Conservatory: Classical and Contemporary Music Performance, Jazz and Modern Music, and Composition Applied to Audiovisual and Scenic Media. These students will also participate in the permanent activities offered by the Conservatory, such as master classes and concerts.
We highlight the diversity of nationalities of the students enrolled, coming from more than 20 countries around the world such as United Kingdom, Russia, Italian, Turkey, China, Colombia, Brazil, Cuba, Paraguay, Chile, United States and Mexico, among others. Among them were beneficiaries of the scholarships granted by the Carolina Foundation, which each year allows many musicians from the Ibero-American Community of Nations (excluding Spain), to come to study music at the Conservatory of the Liceu. Also the winners of the scholarships offered by the Fundació Conservatori del Liceu, which provide exceptional support to students with great musical talent so that they can develop their artistic abilities at the highest level.
