Last October the family show Up & Jazz was premiered at the CaixaForum València, with the participation of the student of the Centre Superior Liceu, Arnau Prats (double bass) and the graduates Andreu Domènech (clarinet, bass clarinet, flute, alto and baritone sax) and Asier Olabarrieta (voice, keyboard, drums and harmonica and musical director).
Up & Jazz stars our students in the roles of Bernat Botons (Andreu Domènech), En Teclas (Asier Olabarrieta), Horquilla (Arnau Prats) and Miss Otis (Annaïs Bernat), who coincide in the lift of a hotel in New York, where they discover a common passion: jazz. Inside the lift they will meet a new character who will make them live a crazy adventure full of surprises. Musical phenomenons that have made history, such as Louis Armstrong, George Gershwin, Miles Davis, Dave Brubeck or Henry Mancini, among many others, are versioned by some irreverent musicians to enjoy a friendly, cheerful and distracted jazz.
The show is an original idea of Trilope under the direction of Albert Ruiz and Cristina Estarelles and with the executive production of Fundació La Caixa.
Up&Jazz can currently be seen in CaixaForum Barcelona until 18 December and will subsequently be on display at the CaixaForums in Tarragona, Lleida, Girona, Palma and Saragossa.
