Last November 22nd, the Potenza quartet, formed by students of the Centre Superior at the Liceu Conservatory Foundation, gave a concert at the Josep Sol i Rodríguez school in Santa Coloma de Gramenet coinciding with the festivity of Santa Cecília.
Potenza is a string quartet formed by the students Dai Mar López (violin), Lluc Montmay (violin), Ainara Quijada (viola), and Jorge Sierra (cello), with a scholarship from the Ferrer-Salat music foundation.
The Josep Sol i Rodríguez Special Education Centre is a public centre inaugurated in 1982 in Santa Coloma de Gramenet (Barcelonès) for nursery, primary and secondary school students with special educational needs.
To celebrate the International Day of Music, the school prepared several activities around music and in the afternoon there was a concert by the Potenza quartet, which was very well received by the students as well as the professionals of the Centres.
From the Liceu Conservatory Foundation, we work to offer our students an integral formation, so that they not only develop their talent and musical skills to the maximum, but also acquire the values and skills to create spaces of social transformation with their music.
