On Friday 4th November Sergio del Boccio, a student of modern singing from the Centre Superior at the Liceu Conservatory Foundation and a scholarship holder of the Ferrer-Salat Music Foundation, took part in the Raval(s) Festival.
Sergio del Boccio, accompanied by Fer Valdivia on guitar, performed different songs by La Lupe, Lady Gaga, Edith Piaf, José Maria Cano, Britney Spears and Amy Winehouse as well as the famous song sung by Marilyn Monroe “Diamonds are a Girl Best Friend”, among others.
Del Boccio was in the news last year after winning the Honour Award for Professional Degree at the Liceu Conservatory Professional Centre. Sergio is currently a contestant on “La Voz” with Laura Pausini’s team.
The Raval(s) Festival is a process of artistic, community and participatory creation that aims to promote the participation of the neighbourhood and a wide range of organisations in the development of a common socio-cultural project with the aim of fostering a feeling of identity towards the neighbourhood from a diverse artistic and cultural point of view.
From 2 to 6 November, the Raval(s) Festival was held under the slogan “20 years cultivating a network”, filling various spaces in the neighbourhood with thirty free activities, the result of community work with more than 90 organisations, collectives, associations, educational centres and neighbourhood residents. Throughout the process of creating the festival, the participating organisations incorporated the three axis that constitute the spirit of Raval(s): the fight against climate change, racism and male violence.
