Susana Gómez Vázquez, for her album ” Sisters Of The Moon”, and Laura Pacios , as a member of Las Migas, for the album “Flamencas”, are among the candidates for these awards
Latin Grammy Awards nominees have been announced, and the winners announcement will take place in its 26th edition of 2025 on November 13 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, USA. Among the nominees are two Conservatory graduates, pianist and composer Susana Gómez Vázquez and violinist Laura Pacios.
Born in Alcalá de Henares (Madrid), Susana Gómez Vázquez trained at the Royal Academy of Music in London and at the Hochschule for Music and Tanz in Cologne (Germany) and later pursued a Master’s Degree in Performance at the Liceu Conservatory with Professor Josep Colom in the 2017-18 academic year. Her second album, Sisters of the Moon ( Eudora Records), that has been awarded the Melómano de Oro , has earned a Latin Grammy nomination. Inspired by the paintings Sisters of the Moon by surrealist painter Leonora Carrington, the album includes works by various female composers from the past and present: Hélène de Montgeroult, Fanny Mendelssohn, Amy Beach, Alicia De Larrocha, Nadia Boulanger, Florence Price, Claudia Montero, Iluminada Pérez, and Susana Gómez Vázquez herself.
Laura Pacios, born in Madrid, finished her Bachelor’s Degree in Jazz Violin in the 2021-2022 academic year, as a student of professors Oriol Saña and Christoph Mallinger . Since 2022, he has been part of the group Las Migas, with whom he has toured internationally and recorded several albums. Their previous album , Rumberas , was a Latin Grammy nominee in 2024, and in 2025, the group of Laura Pacios has repeated success with the nomination of their new album Flamencas.
