On Tuesday, June 3, the Grand Final of the Extraordinary Prizes in the Jazz and Modern Music Performance category took place at the Live Room of the Liceu Conservatory, for the 2024-2025 academic year.
The jury decided to award the prize in the Jazz and Modern Music Performance category to the student Ana Ayala.
Ana Ayala has pursued her higher degree studies in flute with professor Pablo Selnik and during her time at the Conservatory, she participated in two of the major ensembles of the Jazz and Modern Music Department: the Liceu Grand Ensemble and the Liceu Jazz Group.
The finalists also included students Roque Garcia (Saxophone), Ot Granados (Double Bass), and Pere Malagelada (Electric Guitar). The musical performances reflected the excellent state of the Jazz and Modern Music Department at the Liceu Conservatory, where a packed room enjoyed the high level of the finalist performances. The four students reached the final after being selected by the Department’s professors, who evaluated their graduation recitals and academic records.
