Last 23rd November took place in the Paranimf of the Historic Building of the University of Barcelona the graduation ceremony of the 27th promotion of the Cinema School ESCAC.
To liven up the event, the Saxophone Quartet of the Conservatori Liceu performed Memory from Nepomuk Dances by Marcelo Zarvos.
The Mezzo Quartet is integrated by the students Gisela Dekort (soprano saxophone), Nabil Sarrate (alto saxophone), Pol del Moral (tenor saxophone) and Pol Cabrera (baritone saxophone). All of them are scholarship holder of the Ferrer-Salat Music Foundation.
Mezzo is a Saxophone Quartet formed at the Centre Superior Liceu with students of Higher Studies in Classical and Contemporary Music Performance, specialising in wind. During their studies at the Conservatori, and under the mastery of Professor Albert Julià, the students receive intensive training both as soloists and in the field of chamber music. In addition, the Quartet works on pieces by classical and modern composers, striving for technical perfection and expressive intensity.
