On October 21th the Saxophone Ensemble- Conservatori Liceu, formed by the students of the saxophone classroom of the Liceu Conservatory Foundation, performed in the Cornellà Auditorioum as part of the Emerging cycle.
This performance is the result of the collaboration agreement signed between the Liceu Conservatory Foundation and the Auditori de Cornellà, with the aim that formations that emerged from Centre Superior at the Liceu Conservatory Foundation can perform at the Cornellà Auditorium, as part of the Emerging cycle with the challenge of proving on stage what they have learnt in the classroom.
ElEmsemble, directed by professor and former student Xavier Larsson, performed Fantasia sobre temes de Rossini by Gaetano di Bacon, Danzón n°2 by Arturo Márquez Tres Danzas Fantasticas by Joaquín Turina Children of Sánchez by Chuck Mangione, and finally Four pictures from New York by Roberto Mollineli.
The performers were the students Gisela Dekort (soprano saxophone and scholarship holder of the Ferrer-Salat Music Foundation), Pol del Moral (soprano saxophone and scholarship holder of the Ferrer-Salat Music Foundation), Nabíl Sarrate (alto saxophone and scholarship holder of the Ferrer-Salat Music Foundation), Arnau Morales (alto saxophone), Andrea Soriano (alto saxophone and scholarship holder of the Ferrer-Salat Music Foundation), Berta Ballesté (tenor saxophone), Albert Calaf (tenor saxophone and scholarship holder of the Ferrer-Salat Music Foundation), Andrea Soriano (alto saxophone), Berta Ballesté (tenor saxophone), Albert Calaf (tenor saxophone), Aaron Lara (tenor saxophone and scholarship holder of the Ferrer-Salat Music Foundation), Pol Cabrera (baritone saxophone and scholarship holder of the Ferrer-Salat Music Foundation), Lucia Ferrer (baritone saxophone) and Ivan Belda (bass saxophone).
With this type of activities, the ideals of the Liceu Conservatory Foundation to promote the professionalization of their students are fulfilled, giving them opportunities to show what they have learned in the classrooms of the Conservatory with real-life, high-engagement scenarios.
