The Carolina Foundation announces a new edition of its Scholarship program, corresponding to the academic year 2021-2022, coinciding with the International Education Day and within the common framework of the “Spanish Cooperation Scholarships”, made up of the Carolina Foundation scholarships and those of the Spanish Agency for International Cooperation and Development (AECID).
With this call, the Carolina Foundation, in collaboration with the Liceu Conservatory Fundation and the Fundación ABERTIS, offers musicians from the Ibero-American Community of Nations (excluding Spain) the possibility of obtaining a Scholarship to pusue Official Master studies at the Liceu Conservatory in Barcelona in the specialties of Classical and Contemporary Music and of Jazz and Modern Music performance.
The aim of this Scholarships program is, in accordance with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the 2030 Agenda, to contribute to guarantee an inclusive and equitable quality education in Latin America and to promote lifelong learning opportunities by reinforcing the role of musical training in the full realization of human rights, peace, the responsible exercise of local and global citizenship, gender equality and sustainable development.
The Carolina Foundation and the Liceu Conservatory Fundation have maintained an institutional collaboration since 2003, with more than 3,500 applications and 125 Scholarships awarded for Postgraduate and Official Master’s studies.
The Master’s studies at the Higher Center of the Liceu Conservatory Fundation provide an official qualification within the European Higher Education Area, in accordance with Royal Decree 1614/2009, of October 26, which establishes the organization of Artistic Teaching Superiors regulated by Organic Law 2/2006, of May 3.
Applicants can submit their applications online through the Carolina Foundation website until March 17, 2021 at 9:00 a.m. (Spanish time).
