Blanca Ferrer, Student of the Liceu Conservatori Foundation, has won the Jazz Youth Talent Competition organized by the FeminaJazz Festival.
The final was held on October 27 at 19h, at the emblematic venue Sala Clamores (Madrid), where Blanca played six compositions of her own and became the winner of FeminaJazz Competition’s 2nd edition. The prize is the production of an EP, a music video and a concert at the 2022 edition of FeminaJazz Festival.
Blanca finished his jazz piano studies last year, with Roger Mas and Toni Vaquer as mentors. She’s currently studying in the Liceu Conservatory both Pedagogy and the Master in Jazz and Modern Music Performance programs.
FeminaJazz organizes the young talent competition, targeted at women who lead jazz projects, with the aim of promoting and supporting young people who are beginning their professional careers or are finishing their musical studies. The organization wants to provide an opportunity to emerging artists and their development and become a platform for dissemination and professionalization.
The Liceu Conservatori Foundation gives its congratulations to Blanca Ferrer for this great milestone and encourages her to move forward with her artistic projects.
