The Liceu Professional Conservatory Center has participated in the BBVA Individual Talent Award held on the weekend of April 5 and 6 in Terrassa with ten students, two of whom have been selected as finalists among the 114 participants from all over Catalonia.
This weekend, the BBVA Individual Talent Award was held at the Terrassa Municipal Conservatory, a competition promoted by the ACCat (Association of Conservatories of Catalonia) that recognizes young musical talents from all over the territory. Of the nearly 3,500 students currently studying professional degrees in Catalonia, 114 have been selected to participate, divided into three categories: Alevín, Junior and Youth.
The Liceu Professional Conservatory Center has been represented by ten students, who have shown a high artistic level in their performances. The participants were: Adrián Payo (saxophone), Irene Zuriaga (flute), Clara López (modern singing), Paula Coll (piano), Nicole Yaroschuk (singing), Daniil Sizov (violin), Jana Cerdà (violin), Pau Riba (piano), Arnau Jiménez (modern percussion) and Elena Batyreva (violin).
Of the 114 participants selected, only twelve made it to the final held on Sunday, and among these finalists were two students from our center: Paula Coll, piano student of professor Juan Gallego and Tensy Krismant at the Liceu Junior, and Irene Zuriaga, flute student of professors Cristian Farroni and Martí Santacana.
It is also worth noting that the Liceu Center has been the only conservatory that has presented students in the field of Modern Music and Jazz —a clear commitment to stylistic diversity within the training of our students.
The jury awarded the main awards to Gabriel Tomàs (cello) in the Aleví category, Lior Gotlivobich (piano) in the Junior category and Daniel Picón (viola) in the Youth category. In addition, special mentions were given to Fèlix Blay (trumpet) in the Aleví category, Yuna Iñigo (cello) in the Junior category and Ona Camps (transverse flute) in the Youth category.
The BBVA Individual Talent Award continues to consolidate itself as a platform to recognize and highlight the country’s young musicians, and the presence and success of our students highlights the Liceu Conservatory’s commitment to excellence and personalized support for emerging talent.
