Guillermo Ramírez and Norah Wanton, students of the Liceu Júnior, have won the PREMIO EXTRAORDINARIO DE ENSEÑANZAS PROFESIONALES DE MÚSICA corresponding to the 2021/2022 academic year, organised by the Consejería de Desarrollo Educativo y Formación Profesional de la Junta of Andalusia. (Regional Ministry of Educational Development and Vocational Training of the Andalusian Regional Government).
Norah won the extraordinary guitar prize and has studied at the Profesional music centre Ángel Barrios in Granada and Guillermo Ramírez won the extraordinary piano prize and has studied at the Profesional music centre Costa del Sol in Fuenguirola (Málaga).
LICEU JÚNIOR is a pioneering project in our country, promoted by the Ferrer-Salat Music Foundation and the Conservatori Liceu Foundation, which aims to help develop talent, create equal opportunities and guide girls and boys between the ages of 8 and 16 who demonstrate exceptional aptitudes and qualities, young people with a firm desire to give the best of themselves to become musicians of the highest level and artists who are truly committed to society and aware of the importance of fighting for equality and social cohesion. These promising musicians of the future will be able to work under the guidance of the best teachers, in the inspiring and enriching atmosphere of the Centre Superior Liceu, as a privileged complement to the preparation they receive from their elementary and professional teachers.
