Liceu Cambra Masterclasses & Concerts is synonymous with great music and musical wisdom shared by the greatest performers and creators. This concert series reaches its eighth edition this year, reaffirming itself as one of the most interesting initiatives of its kind, and, as always expected, a meeting point for the students of the Higher Center of the Liceu Conservatory with the great international masters, and as an appointment for music lovers from Barcelona with the best music.
After studying violin at the Conservatory of Montpellier, Valérie Guillorit devoted herself to studying voice at the Sweelinck Conservatorium in Amsterdam with Margreet Honig. She has performed in operas by Mozart, Purcell, Handel, Glück, and Gomes with conductors including Klaus Peter Flor, Roy Goodman, Niklos Athinaeos, Lev Markiz, Jan Willem de Vriend, and Michel Tabachnik.
Valérie has also made her mark in Chamber music, and has a special affinity for French and Spanish repertoire, as well as contemporary classical music. From 2004-2017, Valérie was a voice teacher at the Conservatory of Amsterdam, and she has been teaching voice at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris since 2011, and is a regular teacher also at the Royal Conservatory of Brussel since 2017. She also teaches Masterclasses in Belgium, Germany, Canada, Switzerland, Iceland, and Spain.
