She was born in Moscow and studied at the Moscow Conservatory. At the age of ten, she won first prize at the Moscow International Youth Tchaikovsky Competition. In 2008 she was invited by conductor Lorin Maazel to join the orchestra of Palau de Les Arts Reina Sofía.
She has appeared as soloist with orchestras including the Lithuanian Chamber Orchestra, Kremerata Baltica, Valencia Orchestra, Moscow State Philharmonic and Odessa State Symphony.
Her chamber music career has involved collaborations with cellists Patrick Demenga, Natalia Gutman and Frans Helmerson, and violinists Gilles Apap, Janine Jansen and Pavel Vernikov.
She has taught at the Gnessin Academy in Moscow and at the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole in Florence. Since 2014, she has been professor at the Haute École de Musique in Lausanne and, since 2025, at the Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst in Viena.
In addition to her playing and teaching career she serves as regular jury member at international competitions.
She plays a violin by Niccolò Gagliano dating from 1745.
