The Liceu Cambra Masterclasses & Concerts series offers a selection of the most outstanding masterclasses, taught by internationally renowned figures in the fields of creation and performance. In this tenth edition, it solidifies itself as a highly relevant pedagogical and artistic initiative, allowing students of the Conservatori Liceu to connect with the most recognized masters, while also becoming an unmissable event for music lovers in Barcelona.
As part of Liceu Cambra, Nora Buschmann will offer a masterclass focused on the guitar, where she will share her knowledge of the instrument, as well as her artistic vision. Buschmann is an internationally renowned guitar soloist born in Berlin. After studying at the Franz Liszt Conservatory in Weimar and Cologne, she won several prizes at international competitions.
Her programmes unite music from different traditions and regions as a result of a fluent musical exchange with important contemporary composers such as Carlo Domeniconi, Dušan Bogdanović, Alfredo Juan Falú, Carlos Moscardini and Paulo Bellinati, among others.
She frequently tours Europe and South America and is invited to major guitar festivals where, in addition to performing her own work, she gives masterclasses and sits on the jury of international competitions.
Her discography includes: ‘Live in Bern’ (1999), which contains an eminently classical repertoire, ‘Suite Orientale’ (2003), in which she explores works inspired by the Near East and the Mediterranean, and ‘Apassionata Latina’ (2007), in which she performs, among others, Argentinian folklore and Brazilian music.
She is currently a professor at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Rostock (Germany).
Liceu Cambra – Masterclasses & Concerts series has the patronage of Ferrer-Salat Music Foundation.
