Isabel Siewers is a classical guitarist who has performed concerts, given master classes, and served as a juror at international competitions in Europe, North America, South America, Australia, and New Zealand.
She held teaching positions in Argentina and, since 1989, at the Mozarteum University of Arts in Salzburg (Austria).
He has performed as a soloist with the National Symphony Orchestra, the Prague Virtuosi, the Bohemian Chamber Orchestra, the Cuban National, the Krakow Philharmonic, the Zagreb Radio Orchestra and the Cuyo University Orchestra, among others.
Her recordings received distinctions such as Critic’s Choice (Gramophone), Best Album of the Year (Acoustic Guitar) and a 2007 Gardel Award nomination.
From 2010 to the present, Isabel Siewers continues to teach Guitar and Chamber Music at the Mozarteum University of the Arts in Salzburg. She has also taught classes for different Master courses in Latin American Music at the National University of Cuyo, Argentina.
In 2011 she was honored as an “Honorary Citizen” of the city of Templin, Germany, for her work in favor of cultural life.
