She completed her undergraduate, master’s and doctoral studies in music at the Universidad Veracruzana in Mexico, Indiana University in Bloomington and the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, having been awarded a Fulbright-García Robles scholarship.
Her musical experience includes concert piano, chamber music, collaborative piano and teaching.
She has performed as a soloist or accompanist at numerous events, with ensembles and orchestras across Mexico, including the International Piccolo Festival in Guanajuato, the International Concert Saxophone Festivals in Xalapa and Monterrey, ISME-Peru and the Cello Biennial in Peru, PAAX Fest in Chiapas, and at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw, Poland.
From 2014 to 2017, she collaborated with the Xalapa Symphony Orchestra as a pianist, participating in the Cervantino Festival and the orchestra’s international tour to Brazil during those seasons.
During his time in the United States, he also explored topics such as physical preparation for the daily practice of the performing musician, developing support techniques for injury prevention and stage preparation, which he incorporates into the educational programmes he delivers.
He received the ‘Creators’ award from the Programme for the Promotion of Artistic Creation and Development of FONCA-Veracruz 2019–2020.
In the academic sphere, she has dedicated her work to the study and revival of Mexican and Veracruz-based music for piano. She carries out this work as a member of the Academic Staff for Music Performance and Research at the Faculty of Music of the University of Veracruz, where she works as a full-time lecturer in Xalapa, Mexico.
