The Conservatori Liceu Classical Orchestra will be the protagonist of a musical evening where the public can enjoy this project that combines pedagogical tools and academic practice through an artistic proposal of great interest for lovers of the great works of universal symphonism.
In this concert, Classical Orchestra, conducted by Maestro Alfons Reverté, will take on the challenge of performing one of the most important works in the symphonic repertoire, Beethoven’s Seventh Symphony. Described by Wagner as the “Apotheosis of Dance,” this piece is characterized by the energy of its rhythmic drive and contains one of Beethoven’s most original and beloved movements, the Allegretto, which was often encored during Beethoven’s time due to the enthusiasm of the audience.
Additionally, Classical Orchestra will perform works by the Composition students of the third year of the 2023-24 academic year, offering these emerging composers the valuable experience of hearing their music performed by an orchestra while presenting new scores to the listeners. The pieces they will present consist of a series of variations on the Catalan Christmas carol Les bèsties del naixement serving to celebrate Christmas in advance.
