In 2002, after completing the Professional Degree in classical saxophone, he moved to Barcelona to specialize in jazz saxophone at the Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya (ESMUC). During his time at ESMUC he studied with professors such as Xavier Figuerola, Eladio Reinón, and Ignacio Gascón, graduating in 2006 with Honors.
He further enriched his training by attending seminars and taking private lessons with acclaimed musicians like Perico Sambeat, Javier Vercher, Dick Oatts, Dave Liebman, Bob Mintzer, Jerry Bergonzi, Bill McHenry, Chris Cheek, Mark Turner, Walter Smith III and Seamus Blake.
In 2018 he was selected to be part of the Focusyear Band 19, a prestigious project by the Musik-Akademie Basel. For one year he worked and shared the stage with prominent figures such as Guillermo Klein, Dave Liebman, Wolfgang Muthspiel, Jorge Rossy, Dominique Girod, Ambrose Akinmusire, Jim Black, Billy Childs, Luciana Souza, Marilyn Mazur, Seamus Blake, Nils Wogram, John Hollenbeck, Norma Winston, Julian Lage, and Django Bates.
Throughout his career he has performed at numerous national and international festivals, collaborating with renowned musicians such as Tom Harrell, Jorge Rossy, Antonio Serrano, Doug Weiss, Jeb Patton, Vinicius Gomes, Joan Monné, Martín Leiton, Juan Galiardo, Lluís Vidal, Ernesto Aurignac, Jaume Llombart, Perico Sambeat, and Roger Mas, among others. His discography includes two albums as a leader, “Broken Line” and “Changes,” as well as over thirty albums as a sideman.
He combines his performance career with teaching, specializing and furthering his education with a Master’s Degree in Music Pedagogy from the Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya (ESMUC).
