Magalí Sare is a multi-instrumentalist singer born in Barcelona in 1991, from a family of musicians.
She has been involved in the world of choral singing her entire life. She obtained a professional degree in flute and lyrical singing from the Sabadell Conservatory, receiving the Prize of Honor upon completing her studies. She complemented these studies with 6 years of classical and modern percussion and jazz piano lessons. She completed two years of advanced studies in classical flute. In 2017, she graduated from the Liceu Conservatory, specializing in jazz singing and receiving the extraordinary prize from the Jazz Department.
After spending a long time with one foot in classical music and another in modern music, Sesé made the definitive leap into jazz when she began composing her own songs during her career, which culminated in her first album as a singer-songwriter, “Cançons d’amor i dimonis” (2018, Self-published), produced by Vic Moliner and Panxii Badii. In 2020, she released two duo albums: “A boy & a girl” with guitarist Sebastià Gris, produced by David Soler, a project that won the first prize in jazz from Juventudes Musicales de España and the first prize in music in minority languages SUNS Europe held in Udine, Italy; and “Fang y Núvols” with double bassist Manel Fortià, a duo known for their revolutionary interpretation of the anthem of Catalonia at the last inauguration ceremony of the President of the Generalitat of Catalonia.
We can also hear her lending her voice to Clara Peya’s album “Estómac” (2018) and as a soprano in the Mèlt Quartet’s albums “Maletes” (2016) and “Xarrampim!” (2017). In addition, in 2020, she provided her voice for the prestigious summer advertisement of Estrella Damm.
