French-Korean violinist Jaha Lee began playing the violin with Alexandre Brussilovsky as her teacher and later studied with Boris Garlitsky. She graduated from Paris Conservatory and completed a Konzertexamen in Folkwang University of Essen. She also studied with Boris Kushnir and has attended masterclasses with Leonidas Kavakos, Pinchas Zukerman, Igor Ozim, Ana Chumachenco and Shmuel Ashkenasi.
As a passionate chamber musician, Jaha was regularly invited to Seiji Ozawa’s international string quartet academy in Switzerland and festivals such as Yellow Barn in Vermont, Elba Music Festival, and Villa Musica in Germany. She is prizewinner of international competitions Islam Petrela, Ginette Neveu, Rodolfo Lipizer, Yuri Yankelevitch and Laureate of Fundations Meyer (France) and Martha Debelli (Austria).
Jaha has cultivated her symphonic repertoire at the Academy of the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra in Amsterdam and as co-leader of Orchestre National de Lyon. She is a sought after leader and has been invited by the London Symphony Orchestra, Orchestre National d’Auvergne, Orchestre National de Lille, Orchestre National de Bordeaux, and Orchestre de la Monnaie Bruxelles among others. She has performed in renowned venues such as The Concertgebouw, Barbican Hall, Royal Albert Hall, Carnegie Hall, Paris Philharmonie, and Victoria Hall. She is currently Associate Concertmaster of the Barcelona and Catalonia National Symphony Orchestra (OBC).
