Cristina Segura studied at the Liceu Conservatoire with Mª Dolors Aldea and later studied for a master’s degree with the renowned contralto and conductor Nathalie Stutzmann at the HEM in Geneva (Switzerland). She perfected her Lied at the Koninklijk Conservatorium in Brussels (Belgium) with Udo Reinemann, Hartmut Höll, Mitsuko Shirai, Ann Murray and Peter Schreier among others.
Cristina stands out for her extensive training and activity in both opera and Lied as well as early music and oratorio. He has sung as a soloist in Switzerland, Slovenia, France, Belgium, Brazil and in Spain: at the Manuel de Falla Auditorium in Granada, the Palau de la Música, the Juan March Foundation in Madrid, the Girona Auditorium, the Enric Granados Auditorium in Lleida and in festivals such as Bachcelona Festival, Schubertíada de Vilabertran or Madrid Sacred Music Festival.
She has been awarded at the 20th Josep Mirabent i Magrans competition, the JJMM prize awarded by Wolfram Rieger, several prizes at the 8th International Court Music Competition and at the Académie Internationale des Heures Romantiques in France. She has been chosen «new generation artist» of the Lied festival LifeVictoriaBarcelona14. She has recently recorded the role of Gaziel in the work Gaziel by Enrique Granados with the Cadaqués Orchestra (conducted by Jaime Martín). She has recorded a CD with works by Anna Bofill Levi and for ARTE TV, TV3 and RNE.
