Carla Obach (Barcelona, 1992) is a saxophonist. She is currently part of the Quartet Vela and Absit Duo chamber music groups with which she has obtained several awards and recognitions.
In 2014 she obtained the Higher Degree in Music at the Conservatori Liceu, and in 2016 the Master of Music at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz (Köln) as a student of Professor Daniel Gauthier. In 2021 she graduates from the Master of Chamber Music at the Conservatori Liceu, thanks to the support of a scholarship from the Fundació Conservatori Liceu, working with professors Albert Julià and Daniel Cubero.
She has performed at Liceu Sax Festival and The Nordic Saxophone Festival. She has been awarded, among other awards, with the Silver Medal in the chamber category at the “2nd Vienna International Music Competition” and the 3rd prize at the Danish Radio contest “P2 Kammermusikkonkurrence” with the ensemble Quartet Vela.
