Anna Crexells graduated with top honours in Piano and Chamber Music from the Liceu Conservatory, having studied under Àngel Soler and Cecilio Tieles. She specialised in vocal repertoire with Wolfram Rieger and Maciej Pikulski and completed her training in Italy with Enza Ferrari.
Since the start of her career, she has devoted herself to accompanying instrumentalists and singers. She has been invited by Spain’s leading opera houses – the Teatro Real, the Gran Teatre del Liceu, the Palau de les Arts in Valencia, the Ópera de Oviedo and the Teatro de la Maestranza – as a pianist and musical assistant, and has collaborated with internationally renowned conductors such as Gustavo Dudamel, Gianandrea Noseda, Marc Minkowski, Alain Guingal and Renato Balsadonna. As the official pianist for the Tenor Viñas International Singing Competition, she has also accompanied masterclasses given by Josep Carreras, Jaume Aragall, Teresa Berganza, Francisco Araiza, Mariella Devia and Eva Marton.
Her versatility has led her to collaborate in recitals and concerts with leading singers — including Freddie De Tommaso, Nancy Fabiola Herrera, Sara Blanch, Serena Sáenz and Ángel Òdena — at prestigious venues and festivals such as the Palau de la Música Catalana, L’Auditori, the Schubertíada de Vilabertrán, the Juan March Foundation and the Porta Ferrada Festival. Among her recordings, the one dedicated to the works of Robert Gerhard, alongside mezzo-soprano Anna Alàs, stands out. She is recognised as a leading pianist for her ability to accompany with expressiveness and virtuosity.
Alongside her artistic career, she has always combined this with an intensive teaching programme, collaborating with the Master’s in Opera at the Liceu Conservatory; and giving masterclasses and vocal repertoire courses on the international stage in places such as Vienna, Germany and China.
