Alexandre Fortuny is a guitarist, psychologist, and music teacher. He received his training from teachers such as Dani Pérez, Jordi Bonell, David Mengual, Albert Bover, Ramon Prats, and Jaume Llombart, among others. He holds a Bachelor in Psychology from the University of Barcelona and a Bachelor in Music from the Liceu Higher Conservatory of Music, specializing in Jazz and Modern Music Performance. He is currently a doctoral candidate in the Doctoral Program in Didactics of Science, Languages, Arts, and Humanities (DCLAH) at the University of Barcelona.
In the field of teaching, he has taught classes in Electric Guitar, Instrumental Ensemble, Composition Techniques, Arrangements, and Music Theory. In the research field, he is a member of the Music Education and Innovation Research Group (GREMI, University of Barcelona), the International Society for Music Education (ISME), and the Jazz Education Network (JEN).
He has released albums as a leader, including “Miratges” (2020) and “Tríptic” (2024). He has shared the stage with musicians such as Toni Vaquer, Pau Sala, Guillem Arnedo, and Pedro Campos, among others. He combines his passion for music education and research with various musical projects as a guitarist.
