Alex Dee (Málaga) is a singer, songwriter, and producer. He also works as a voice teacher at the Liceu Conservatory and has taught the Gospel Choir course at ESMUC. He holds a degree in jazz and modern music with a specialization in voice from the Liceu, and has also studied singing at ESMUC and classical composition at CSMA. He is certified in Estill Voice Training and has taken courses in Complete Vocal Technique. Additionally, he has completed a postgraduate program in Speech Therapy Intervention for Voice Disorders (Blanquerna) and a Master’s degree in Comparative Studies of Literature, Art, and Thought (UPF).
His great versatility has led him to collaborate and record with projects and artists such as Nathy Peluso, Big Menu, Macaco, “Bailando con las estrellas” (TVE), “Col·lapse” (3Cat), The Gourmets Vocal Quartet, Remembering Prince, Vic Mirallas, OBC, Franz Schubert Filarmonia, Orquestra Simfònica del Vallès, I Want U Back, Revisiting Bowie, Magic Gospel, Maestro Live Show, Les Músiques del Món, Fundación Tony Manero, Emmanuel Djob, among others. In addition, he has lent his voice to numerous musical dubbings (Netflix, Warner, Disney, among others) and advertising music.
He has performed on stages and at festivals such as Primavera Sound, BBK Live, Festival Nuestro (Argentina), F’Estiv Gospel (France), Estadio Olímpico de Barcelona, Teatro Real, Gran Teatre del Liceu, Palau de la Música, L’Auditori de Barcelona, Teatro de la Maestranza, Guggenheim Museum, Festival Mas i Mas, Festival Castell de Peralada, Vijazz, Teatro Rialto, Teatro EDP Gran Vía, Auditorio Alfredo Kraus, Teatro Cervantes, among others.
He is the founder of The Gourmets, a vocal quartet specializing in spirituals and gospel music, with whom he released “Freedom Songs” in 2016. He has sung at the main gospel festivals in Spain and France, carried out the Magic Gospel tour across all CaixaForums in the peninsula, and conducted numerous workshops for choirs.
In 2019 and 2020, he released “Morning” and “Moaning,” both EPs with original music. In 2023, he released “Sweet sweet sweet,” an album in duet with Clara Gorrias.
