The documentary “Bring Them Home / Aiskótáhkapiyaaya” has been nominated at the 47th Annual News & Documentary Emmy Awards in the “Outstanding Documentary Music Composition” category. Martí Noguer, a graduate in Composition from the Liceu Conservatory, contributed to the documentary as composer of additional music. The awards ceremony, organised by the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, will take place on 27 and 28 May in New York.
“Bring Them Home” tells the story of the Blackfoot people as they strive to reintroduce wild buffalo to their tribal lands after a hundred-year absence. Narrated by Oscar nominee Lily Gladstone, the documentary chronicles the efforts to restore the buffalo, the land and traditional culture, and to bring healing to the Blackfoot community.
Martí Noguer graduated in 2019 from the Liceu Conservatory, where he studied under Professor Víctor Estapé. During his studies, he was awarded the Ferrer Music Foundation’s Scholarship of Excellence. After graduating, he was named the eighth winner of the Oticons Faculty 2020 international film music competition and began collaborating with film composers such as Alfred Tapscott, Fernando Velázquez, Xavier Capellas and Sergio J. Lacima. He has worked as a soundtrack producer, orchestrator and music editor, as well as writing music and arrangements for Netflix and Amazon Prime projects.
Thanks to a scholarship from the Fundació ‘la Caixa’, Martí moved to Los Angeles to study the prestigious Master’s degree in Screen Scoring at the University of Southern California.
Martí currently lives in California, where he works as a composer for international film, video game and television productions and is a composer for Bleeding Fingers Music, the musical collective founded by Hans Zimmer.
