In the upcoming academic year 2024-2025 the Liceu Conservatory in Barcelona will incorporate new professors. These include Bernardo Verde (Bassoon), Anabel Montesinos (Classical Guitar), and Luis Cabrera (Double Bass).
Bernardo Verde is a renowned bassoonist, currently a soloist in the symphony orchestra of the Gran Teatre del Liceu. Throughout his career, he has performed with orchestras such as the OBC, the Castilla y León Symphony Orchestra, the Cadaqués Orchestra, the London Symphony Orchestra, London Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.
Anabel Montesinos is an acclaimed guitarist internationally, having won prizes in important guitar competitions and performed concerts worldwide, including venues such as Carnegie Hall in New York and orchestras like the Turin Philharmonic (Italy), Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra (Venezuela), Oulu Philharmonic (Finland), and Havana Philharmonic (Cuba), among others.
Luis Cabrera is an internationally recognized double bass player, who currently stands out as a professor at various music institutions, in addition to serving as principal double bass player of the Netherlands Philharmonic Orchestra in Amsterdam. In his musical career, he has performed with prestigious orchestras such as the London Symphony Orchestra and the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, among others.
