The Liceu Conservatory Foundation of Barcelona and the Conservatorio de las Rosas of Morelia, Michoacán, Mexico, present a concert with the participation of the students of the Conservatorio de las Rosas.
This event is part of the various initiatives carried out in the last decade, as a result of the collaboration between the two institutions, which have worked together since 2003 and in which the commitment of both institutions to artistic excellence and the promotion of young talents stands out. The Conservatorio de las Rosas was founded in 1743 and is the oldest conservatory in Latin America and has established itself throughout its history as a musical institution of reference in Mexico.
Andrea Gabriela Arredondo, outstanding Mexican soprano, graduated with honors in Music from the Conservatorio de las Rosas in Morelia, Michoacán (class of 2023) and was recognized by COPARMEX for her academic excellence.
Her outstanding participation as a soloist in events such as the “Concierto de Talentos del Conservatorio de las Rosas” and the “Magno Concierto de Jueves Santo” with the Vasco de Quiroga Chamber Orchestra in Austria have consolidated her in the music scene.
Currently, she is part of the Choir of the Secretary of Culture of Morelia (SECUM) and has participated in operas both in Spain and Mexico, obtaining important roles in the International Summer Opera Festival of Morelia (ISOFOM) 2023.
Andrés Sierra, a talented pianist, began his training at the age of 7 and quickly stood out, debuting in his first recital at the age of 8. Collaborating with the Michoacan University Orchestra, he participated in operatic performances under the direction of Enrique Ramírez and Mario Rodríguez Taboada.
His presence in international festivals, such as the Tamaulipas and Monterrey Piano Festivals, as well as his contribution to the International Summer Opera Festival of Morelia, has consolidated him as a renowned pianist.
