Widely regarded as one of the most prominent composers in the contemporary music creation scene, Benet Casablancas’ career has also been characterized by his intense musicological and essayistic activity, from which his students at the Liceu Conservatory have benefited and continue to benefit. Since its publication “Paisajes del Romanticismo Musical” has been unanimously received as a reference work in the analysis and aesthetic evaluation of 19th century music. It is a privilege for the educational community of the Conservatory to have a Meeting with the author of this exceptional work, who will share his encyclopaedic and highly inspiring vision of Romantic music. The event will be accompanied by live music related to the book’s content and performed by students from the Higher Conservatory.
