The Liceu XXI Ensemble works on essential pieces of compositional avant-garde or music being written in the classrooms of the Liceu Conservatory Foundation by the school’s composition students. This ensemble trains students in performing contemporary repertoire, but also brings the most current and newly created music to the public, establishing itself as an artistic proposal of great interest within our city’s music programming dedicated to new musical languages.
Thus, it represents a unique opportunity to access what today’s composers are doing, but also for the composers themselves, who have in Liceu XXI an open window to showcase their creative work to the world.
The Liceu Jove is presented as a very attractive musical proposal that helps students fully prepare for their leap into the professional world while they are in their training period. It also provides a great opportunity for music lovers in the city to access repertoires of great interest and multiple formats, as well as with a great stylistic variety.
