As part of the celebrations marking the 15th anniversary of the Liceu Jazz – Masterclasses & Concerts series, the Liceu Conservatory Foundation welcomes saxophonist Miguel Zenón and pianist Luis Perdomo, who will be giving a masterclass.
Miguel Zenón is widely regarded as one of the most innovative and influential saxophonists and composers of his generation. Together with the equally renowned pianist Luis Perdomo, he won a Grammy for the album “El Arte del Bolero Vol. 2” in 2023. The collaboration between Zenón and Perdomo gives the bolero a unique, richly colourful dimension.
This event forms part of Liceu Jazz – Masterclasses & Concerts, the series organised by the Liceu Conservatory Foundation, which is celebrating 15 years of keeping jazz alive through masterclasses, concerts, performances by the conservatory’s students and jam sessions. The series’ masterclasses are organised in collaboration with the Barcelona Jazz Festival and with the patronage of the Ferrer Music Foundation.
