Sofiane Pamart will offer a master class on October 21 at the Higher Center of the Fundació Conservatori Liceu, within the Liceu Jazz – Masterclasses & Concerts concert series, which from October to December 2022 will schedule 19 master classes and 23 concerts by renowned jazz artists, turning the city of Barcelona into the nerve center of international jazz. These activities will take place in the Auditori Conservatori Liceu, a space located in the heart of the Raval district, fully consolidated and recognized as one of the best of its kind in our country.
Sofiane Pamart is a pianist who has been very close to the French hip-hop scene since its inception, although his style mixes influences ranging from Claude Debussy to Philip Glass through Erik Satie. Pamart is a pianist with his own universe, unclassifiable, right now one of the great figures of the French scene.
Since he began studying at the Lille Conservatory, he was destined to be a renowned pianist and composer, and he currently shares the stage with some of France’s most famous urban artists, rappers and producers. His mission is to revolutionize and make accessible the world of classical music and the piano by breaking all the codes of classical music and adopting those of today’s urban world.
The Liceu Jazz – Masterclasses & Concerts concert series is part of the close collaboration that the Fundació Conservatori Liceu has maintained for 11 years with the Voll-Damm Barcelona Jazz Festival, with the patronage of the Ferrer-Salat Music Foundation.
Masterclasses such as that of Sofiane Pamart are one of the most important bets of the Liceu Conservatory, which enrich the academic experience of students and music lovers in our environment on their way to professionalism, allowing them to play and interact with the great masters of the current jazz scene.
Feel free to take part in this event which is part of a unique proposal in the country that wants to bring the best jazz to students and music lovers!
