As part of the celebrations marking the 15th anniversary of the Liceu Jazz – Masterclasses & Concerts series, the Liceu Conservatory Foundation welcomes harmonica player Antonio Serrano and pianist Kaele Jiménez, who will be giving a masterclass.
Antonio Serrano is one of the world’s leading harmonica players and a key figure in contemporary Spanish music. His career is characterised by a constant quest to expand the expressive possibilities of the harmonica, establishing him as a world-renowned authority on his instrument. Pianist Kaele Jiménez is self-taught, an approach that allows him to improvise and create on the spot, giving each performance a special touch that reflects both his gypsy roots and his passion for jazz.
This event forms part of Liceu Jazz – Masterclasses & Concerts, the series organised by the Liceu Conservatory Foundation, which is celebrating 15 years of keeping jazz alive through masterclasses, concerts, performances by the conservatory’s students and jam sessions. The series’ masterclasses are organised in collaboration with the Barcelona Jazz Festival and with the patronage of the Ferrer Music Foundation.
