Antonio Serrano, Javier Colina, Albert Sanz and Israel Suárez «Piraña» will offer a master class on November 30th at the Higher Center of the Fundació Conservatori Liceu, within the Liceu Jazz – Masterclasses & Concerts concert series, which within October and November 2023 will schedule master classes, meetings and concerts by renowned jazz artists, turning the city of Barcelona into the nerve center of international jazz. These activities will take place mainly in the Auditori Conservatori Liceu, a space located in the heart of the Raval district, fully consolidated and recognized as one of the best of its kind in our country.
The quartet formed by Antonio Serrano, Javier Colina, Albert Sanz and Israel Suárez «Piraña» is a group highlighted for the musical talent of each of its members on their respective instruments. The quartet explores new soundscapes and fuses different musical styles. Their musical proposal is a blend of jazz, flamenco, and Latin music, in which each member brings their own style and personality.
The Liceu Jazz – Masterclasses & Concerts concert series is part of the close collaboration that the Fundació Conservatori Liceu has maintained for 12 years with the Voll-Damm Barcelona Jazz Festival, with the patronage of the Ferrer-Salat Music Foundation.
Masterclasses such as that of Antonio Serrano, Javier Colina, Albert Sanz and Israel Suárez «Piraña» are one of the most important bets of the Liceu Conservatory, which enrich the academic experience of students and music lovers in our environment on their way to professionalism, allowing them to play and interact with the great masters of the current jazz scene.
