Marlango
The indie project which became a mass success
Named after a song by Tom Waits, Marlango’s music recalls us (even with their recent transition to a much more luminous paths) a fascinating and sophisticated ambient where jazz, blues, alcoholic rotten poets and Lynch’s visual oddity melt in a bohemian sound, both glamorous and sordid, which has known how to become unusually mainstream. Since actress Leonor Watling met Alejandro Pelayo when she sang jazz standards with a band of friends, they have formed one of the most successful duos in the Spanish scene, a perfect balance between a mass production and a charming indie project.
