As part of the celebrations marking the 15th anniversary of the Liceu Jazz – Masterclasses & Concerts series, the Liceu Conservatory Foundation welcomes guitarist Kurt Rosenwinkel, who will give a masterclass.
Kurt Rosenwinkel is one of the most influential musicians in contemporary jazz. An American guitarist, composer, producer and visionary at the forefront of modern jazz, for over three decades he has inspired musicians from around the world with his unmistakable sound, his rich harmonic language and his deeply lyrical improvisations. Recognised as one of the defining voices of his generation, Kurt Rosenwinkel has collaborated with leading artists such as Brad Mehldau, Joshua Redman, Mark Turner, Chris Cheek, Jeff Ballard, Jorge Rossy, Aaron Parks, Geri Allen and many more. With over 15 albums as a bandleader to his name, his work continues to shape the sound of contemporary jazz.
This event forms part of Liceu Jazz – Masterclasses & Concerts, the series organised by the Liceu Conservatory Foundation, which is celebrating 15 years of keeping jazz alive through masterclasses, concerts, performances by the conservatory’s students and jam sessions. The series’ masterclasses are organised in collaboration with the Barcelona Jazz Festival and with the patronage of the Ferrer Music Foundation.
