Dorantes and Moises Sanchez will offer a master class on 27th of November 2025 at the Liceu Conservatory, within the Liceu Jazz – Masterclasses & Concerts concert series, which within October and December 2025 will schedule master classes, meetings and concerts by renowned jazz artists, turning the city of Barcelona into the nerve center of international jazz. These activities will take place mainly in the Auditori Conservatori Liceu, a space located in the heart of the Raval district, fully consolidated and recognized as one of the best of its kind in our country.
Dorantes and Moisés Sánchez are two internationally recognized Spanish pianists and composers. Dorantes is known for his innovative fusion of flamenco and piano, while Sánchez stands out in contemporary jazz. Their joint project, “Babel”, explores the convergence of their styles, blending flamenco roots with the freedom and improvisation of jazz.
The Liceu Jazz – Masterclasses & Concerts concert series is part of the close collaboration that the Fundació Conservatori Liceu has maintained for 14 years with the Barcelona Jazz Festival, with the patronage of the Ferrer Music Foundation.
Masterclasses such as that of Dorantes and Moises Sanchez are one of the most important bets of the Liceu Conservatory, which enrich the academic experience of students and music lovers in our environment on their way to professionalism, allowing them to play and interact with the great masters of the current jazz scene.
