Diego el Cigala
The most international cantaor
Among all the cantaores who has brought the flamenco to the fields of the jazz genre, Diego el Cigala has been one of the most popular and international ones since the unforgettable release of the legendary Lágrimas negras with Bebo Valdés. Although his career was already wide and successful, his meetings with Jerry González and the Cuban pianist changed forever his approach to music: from Latin jazz to tango, from copla to complex cultural references (to Picasso works, for example)… an exquisite and awarded discography with collaborations with the great names of the current scene.
