Dani de Morón will offer a master class on November 21st at the Higher Center of the Fundació Conservatori Liceu, within the Liceu Jazz – Masterclasses & Concerts concert series, which within October and November 2023 will schedule master classes, meetings and concerts by renowned jazz artists, turning the city of Barcelona into the nerve center of international jazz. These activities will take place mainly in the Auditori Conservatori Liceu, a space located in the heart of the Raval district, fully consolidated and recognized as one of the best of its kind in our country.
Dani de Morón is a renowned flamenco guitarist born in Seville, but raised in Morón de la Frontera. His career took a major leap in 2007 when he was requested by Paco de Lucía to accompany him as the second guitar in his tour. Currently, Dani de Morón continues to perform concerts in different formats and accompany flamenco singers. In addition, he is dedicated to composing and directing music for flamenco dance shows and collaborates with Accademia del Piacere, a cutting-edge group of Spanish early music, fusing flamenco with historical music.
The Liceu Jazz – Masterclasses & Concerts concert series is part of the close collaboration that the Fundació Conservatori Liceu has maintained for 12 years with the Voll-Damm Barcelona Jazz Festival, with the patronage of the Ferrer-Salat Music Foundation.
Masterclasses such as that of Dani de Morón are one of the most important bets of the Liceu Conservatory, which enrich the academic experience of students and music lovers in our environment on their way to professionalism, allowing them to play and interact with the great masters of the current jazz scene.
