Cyrille Aimée will offer a master class on November 21 at the Higher Center of the Fundació Conservatori Liceu, within the Liceu Jazz – Masterclasses & Concerts concert series, which from October to December 2022 will schedule 19 master classes and 26 concerts by renowned jazz artists, turning the city of Barcelona into the nerve center of international jazz. These activities will take place in the Auditori Conservatori Liceu, a space located in the heart of the Raval district, fully consolidated and recognized as one of the best of its kind in our country.
For Cyrille Aimée, improvisation is not only a vocal technique, it is also a way of life. The famous vocalist, Cyrille Aimée, open to any opportunity that comes her way, went from singing in front of audiences in European streets, to performing in front of the most prestigious audiences at world jazz festivals; from singing in gypsy camps and secretly from her parents in her native France, to acting on Broadway; from challenging one of the most demanding audiences such as that of the famous Apollo Theater in New York, to being recognized today by the Wall Street Journal as “One of the most promising jazz singers of her generation”, and acclaimed as “A triumphant star in the galaxy of jazz singers” in the columns of the New York Times.
The Liceu Jazz – Masterclasses & Concerts concert series is part of the close collaboration that the Fundació Conservatori Liceu has maintained for 11 years with the Voll-Damm Barcelona Jazz Festival, with the patronage of the Ferrer-Salat Music Foundation.
Masterclasses such as that of Cyrille Aimée are one of the most important bets of the Liceu Conservatory, which enrich the academic experience of students and music lovers in our environment on their way to professionalism, allowing them to play and interact with the great masters of the current jazz scene.
Feel free to take part in this event which is part of a unique proposal in the country that wants to bring the best jazz to students and music lovers!
