Chris Potter will offer a master class on November 20 at the Higher Center of the Fundació Conservatori Liceu, within the Liceu Jazz – Masterclasses & Concerts concert series, which within October and November 2023 will schedule master classes, meetings and concerts by renowned jazz artists, turning the city of Barcelona into the nerve center of international jazz. These activities will take place mainly in the Auditori Conservatori Liceu, a space located in the heart of the Raval district, fully consolidated and recognized as one of the best of its kind in our country.
Chris Potter is considered one of the most outstanding saxophonists of his generation. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with numerous renowned artists, including Pat Metheny, Dave Holland, and Herbie Hancock. The Trio has created a unique and exciting sound that combines jazz improvisation with elements of electronic music and experimental music. His music is energetic, innovative and highly virtuosic, and has been acclaimed by critics and audiences alike for its originality and technical prowess.
The Liceu Jazz – Masterclasses & Concerts concert series is part of the close collaboration that the Fundació Conservatori Liceu has maintained for 12 years with the Voll-Damm Barcelona Jazz Festival, with the patronage of the Ferrer-Salat Music Foundation.
