As part of the celebrations marking the 15th anniversary of the Liceu Jazz – Masterclasses & Concerts series, the Liceu Conservatory Foundation welcomes again the saxophonist Chris Potter who will give a masterclass.
Chris Potter is one of the most prominent and influential saxophonists in contemporary jazz. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with numerous renowned artists, including Herbie Hancock, Dave Holland, John Scofield, Jim Hall and Paul Motian. Chris Potter has created a unique and exciting sound that combines jazz improvisation with elements of electronic and experimental music. Their music is energetic, innovative and highly virtuosic, and has been acclaimed by critics and audiences alike for its originality and technical skill.
This event forms part of Liceu Jazz – Masterclasses & Concerts, the series organised by the Liceu Conservatory Foundation, which is celebrating 15 years of keeping jazz alive through masterclasses, concerts, performances by the conservatory’s students and jam sessions. The series’ masterclasses are organised in collaboration with the Barcelona Jazz Festival and with the patronage of the Ferrer Music Foundation.
